The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It has a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.
During testing it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard floors. It does not use LIDAR, however, like cheaper models do, to map your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features such as a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic to ensure you have a hands-free experience.
It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the touch of the button. You can select the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vacuum performs well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and clean big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot claims it will improve in the future with new models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common however we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ has an improved filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price tag.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, such as staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire house in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and set up virtual boundary markers, so it is aware of areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of more expensive models, and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.
The only downside is that it lacks a second rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's an acceptable cost to pay for if you are looking for one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is bigger than most of its competitors and filling it takes just two or three cycles even when you've got the most dirt.
As for the mopping device, I was amazed with its ability to remove the tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, produce minimal noise, allowing you to work or watch television without interruption. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it before moving forward.
The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something needs attention, for example, the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.
You can also create or combine actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo manages your home. This feature is helpful for those who have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing debris from both carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can also vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo with all the features you can wish for. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, as well as the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also has a sensor that can detect obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet high and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the entire robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet in one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.
Finally it is worth noting that the robotic cleaner and mop X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and a voice assistant that works offline, so you can control it even when you're not home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined route.
The X2 Omni is the best robot at mopping. Its mop pads that rotate clean tough stains and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also excellent, and it increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of convenience features you aren't likely to find on robots at this price range. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, identify various flooring types and is among the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. But while these functions are useful however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category, which might make it slightly more expensive than what some homeowners require.
Designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish that's highlighted by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is adorned with an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel lets you to choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the app's settings menu where you can alter the way that the L10s Ultra works with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for households with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining. The mops are also efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
