The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It has a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.
During tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do, to identify your home.
1. iRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, such as the dirt compartment built into the charging base. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and recommend automatic schedules that will give you an effortless cleaning experience.
It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is set up you can begin the cleaning automatically with just one button press. You can select a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as cereal and rice. Or you can opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your entire home is thoroughly cleaned.
This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as other models do, and it can even pick up pet hair with ease. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot claims it will get better with the next models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We like the claim, but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map your interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of what areas require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on more expensive models. Its mopping system is superior - its spinning pads scrub floors better than a vibrating pad.
The only issue is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a major issue for those who want to own one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also larger than many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.
In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to remove hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, create little noise, allowing you to work or watch television without interruption. It will gently hit furniture or walls and then move on if it comes across one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the bin hidden from view, as well as washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something requires attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled because of a full dust bin.
You can also create or combine actual rooms in order to personalize the way Q Revo handles your home. This feature is beneficial for those who have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test, picking up debris on carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first go. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it to.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you can wish for. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, and an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling onto furniture and other objects.
The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it measures over two feet in the height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
Additionally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and a voice assistant that works offline, which means you can manage it even when not home. It also comes with more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of just following a set route.
The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding too and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does the job well. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and more info its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on a consumer-grade robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a range of convenience features that you don't often see on robots at this price range. It is able to create precise floor maps and recognize different flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are useful but they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category and could mean it's slightly more expensive than the average homeowner need.
Designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish enhanced by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine has an impressive bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it to its base station. The central control panel has a circular menu that lets you choose cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open the app's settings menu where you can alter how the L10s Ultra works with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your house. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4% of debris from our hard-floor test and taking out all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of debris from our wood, tile and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the floor, or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
